Alexander Gardner is Director and Chief Editor of the Treasury of Lives. The Treasury of Lives provides open access to the lived history of Tibet and the surrounding regions. Its global readership spans academics, religious practitioners, and the general public. The Treasury of Lives seeks to advance Digital Humanities tools and develop new ways of visualizing and engaging with historical data. The online biographical encyclopedia began as a project of the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation and was spun off as an independent organization in 2016.
