After Total War: Mobilization & its Aftermath in the Japanese Wartime Empire

In spring 2017, Dr. Victor Louzon, the INTERACT Postdoctoral Scholar at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University, helped to organize a research and teaching workshop on the theme “After Total War: Mobilization and its Aftermath in the Japanese Wartime Empire.”

The purpose of the workshop was to explore some of the postwar consequences of Japan’s mobilization
of its colonized and occupied societies during World War II. In keeping with the mission of the INTERACT (International Network to Expand Regional and Collaborative Teaching) program, Dr. Louzon created a list of resources for teaching on the subject that is available to download as a PDF here.
