Raymond Wang

Raymond Wang is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute and a Fellow at the Columbia-Harvard China and the World Program. He is also a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. His research examines how rising powers shape international order by commandeering the existing rules, rather than overturning them or building alternative institutions. He is also interested in economic statecraft and knowledge transfer between the military and civilian sectors. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT and will be an Assistant Professor at the Pardee School at Boston University starting Fall 2026.
