The Studies of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute were inaugurated in 1962 to bring to public attention the results of significant new research on modern and contemporary East Asia. To date more than 250 titles have been published, by both academic and trade presses, representing scholars of Northeast, Inner, and Southeast Asia from around the world.
