This year, we celebrate and honor the groundbreaking legacy of the Comfort Women and the Women’s International War Crimes Tribunal for the Trial of Japan’s Military Sexual Slavery, marking its 25th anniversary and reflecting on its impact today.

Join us in examining the ongoing fight for justice, reparation, and compensation for the former Comfort Women as we explore how the Women’s Tribunal fight for justice remains crucial today in addressing war crimes against women in ongoing conflicts worldwide. It is an evening of remembrance and action, honoring the past and shaping a future of justice and accountability for women, peace, and security.

Organized by the Women’s Tribunal Feminist Collective, a network by women for women who continue to challenge how international humanitarian law has historically trivialized, excused, marginalized, and concealed war crimes against women, so that conflict-related sexual violence is no longer disregarded or ignored in international criminal courts.

Co-hosted with Cardozo Law Institute in Holocaust and Human Rights, the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, Korean American Civic Empowerment, and Korean American Lawyers of Greater New York.
