About the Journal:

The Asia Pacific Affairs Council Journal is a periodical published by Columbia University’s Asia Pacific Affairs Council (APAC) at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute. Released annually by Columbia students, the APAC Journal is dedicated to fostering an understanding of vital issues through the exchange of professional and personal experiences spanning the Asia Pacific region.

Theme: The Future is Asian

Highlighting a real shift in the world's center of gravity, the 2021 issue of the APAC Journal will focus on the dynamic role of Asia in public health and emergency preparedness, economic security in humanitarian affairs, trade and development, energy, cyber conflict, and cycles of kinetic conflict in the East and Southeast Asia region.

All Columbia-affiliated students, researchers, and professors are invited to submit opinion pieces, interviews, photo essays, travel journals, expository essays, research summaries, and more. If you are interested in having your work published by the APAC Journal, please send your submission to [email protected] by January 6, 2021.
