WEAI Professor Lien-Hang Nguyen discussed a recent comprehensive strategic deal between the United States and Vietnam in interviews with BBC Live TV; BBC Newshour and NPR Here and Now.
"Once again we see, in the twenty-first century, that Vietnam is in between China and the United States," Professor Nguyen said in her interview with BBC Newshour titled "Why the US' historic deal with Vietnam matters." Nguyen went on to say that she believes "one of the things the Vietnamese have done well and will continue to do well is manage both allies."
