The Weatherhead East Asian Institute is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Program Coordinator, Student Affairs.
Reporting to the Executive Director of the institute and working in support of the Directors of the Master of Arts in Regional Studies-East Asia (MARSEA) program, the Student Affairs Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all student-facing issues and policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Managing the administration of the Institute’s Master of Arts in Regional Studies-East Asia (MARSEA) graduate program;
- Managing the administration of student fellowship programs supporting research, language acquisition, unpaid internships, and dissertation write-up during both the academic year and summer;
- Liaising with East Asia-related student groups on events and programming, supervising event planning and execution, program development, and budget management;
- Assisting Institute staff and faculty with new student-related special Institute projects from development to implementation;
- Managing the database for fellowship recipients, MA students, and alumni, et al;
- Advising students on program and specialization requirements for the WEAI Certificate;
- Supervising and assigning work to student assistants.
Minimum qualifications for the position are a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent related experience as well as 2-4 years of related work experience.
